2025 HOSPYS Hall of Fame: Sheila Lucero
We are thrilled to share some incredible news: our very own Sheila Lucero, Culinary Director for Jax Fish House and Centro, has been inducted into the Colorado Foodservice Hall of Fame by the Colorado Restaurant Association (CRA).
The Hall of Fame, established in 1978, is one of the most prestigious honors in our state’s hospitality community. It recognizes individuals who have spent their careers elevating Colorado’s restaurant industry through talent, leadership, and an unwavering passion for hospitality.
Sheila’s journey with Big Red F spans over two decades. She began as a line cook at Jax Fish House Boulder, working her way up to Executive Chef, then Culinary Director — a role that allows her to guide the culinary vision not only for Jax, but also for Centro Mexican Kitchen. Along the way, she has become a leader in sustainable seafood advocacy, a mentor to countless chefs and cooks, and an ambassador for Colorado dining on the national stage.
To see her honored alongside industry icons at the 2025 HOSPYS Gala on November 10 is both humbling and deeply deserved.
